The Dursleys are often remembered as comic villains, but Harry’s childhood at Privet Drive is much darker than it first appears. We talk about Petunia’s resentment of Lily, Vernon’s obsession with being “normal,” Dudley’s growth, and the question of whether Dumbledore’s protection was worth the cost of leaving Harry in an unhappy home.
